I've had a couple of people ask what a universal tether for a cell phone strap or bracelet is. I just thought I'd take this moment to explain. So, here we've got the cell phone bracelet, and this is the universal tether. This is my existing phone case.

All I do is pop the universal tether through there, and you'll see that it's quite thin and sits quite tightly. I can then clip the phone strap on like that, and you'll see it's nice and strong.

Sometimes these are made out of thin metal rather than this nice soft flexible plastic. Then you just reinsert your phone case and it's connected. A well-designed bracelet or universal tether will easily allow you to quickly connect your cell phone charger — just like that.
